Cudo's go out to WLOS-TV in Asheville for coming to the signing of Sam Keppel and Sam Stepp with Western Carolina softball. Did not see a thing in Asheville Citizen Times.

    Congratulations

Congratulations, to Sam Keppel and Sam Stepp for signing with WCU. You both are very good players and i,m glad i got the chance to play and practice with both of you this fall. You both set a good example for all of us younger players and give us hope for the future. Good Luck to both of you and i hope to see you all soon. MO and Family

Has anyone contacted AC-Times about the story?
We usually contact Andrew Pearson, he is pretty good at getting recognition of the local athletes.

I wanted to post this link because I think its a good story but also to prove a point.
    http://www.citizen-times.com/cache/article/sports/71167.shtml

My question is this? why are these girls playing softball? to spend their parents money? they have nothing better to do? I doubt it, more than likely its because they have their sights set on a higher goal...Maybe they want to play ball in college????? Hmmmmm??? If their goal is to play in college then I applaud them but what is sad about this article is that these girls may be wanting to play in college and if they realize those dreams then they can look forward to the ASheville Citizen Times not even reporting it.
Of course I saw that the reporter that did this article was Andrew Pearson, maybe Fence has it figured out....Alan should have contacted Andrew Pearson instead of (?????????????)  to report on Sam Keppel and Sam Stepp signing to play not only college ball but college ball locally.

its amazing to think that a sports department isnt on the same page; local athletes signed to play Locally

.do Andrew and the unnamed reporter even speak to one another??

    where is "fence" anyways...........
