Twelve home runs

Hey Braves,

Brad has 6, which next to this list is not a lot. However, they are productive---Three 3 run shots, One grand slam, One 2 run shot and a solo. so, 6 hrs, 16 rbi as a result.

Anthony Boone at Weddington also has 6.

SR Night at Weddington tonight against Butler. Hopefully both of them can add to their totals.

 

You hit them where you play. Bloop singles count towards your AVG just like a line shot gapper. A Homerun is a Homerun.

No matter where you play if you hit it out of the park in fair territory it is a homerun. And the funny thing about it the other team has the same option, as you play the game on the same field (most of the time).

I once saw Schaffer hit 6 out in a row in batting practice then in his first at bat of the game hit one that would have been out in ANY ballpark in America. Does that mean he should get credit for more than 1?

It will be nice to see what Coach 27 thinks about this. He had a great take on the batting AVG. thing.

 

I don't know Homer. There are some good names on that list.

Sadly, we (the Charlotte Observer) don't have the manpower, space or time we did a few years back....Had to make cuts this spring, and the compilation of baseball stats had to go. It hurt me more than anybody, I loved compiling them and generating discussions....I liked to see who were leaders in each category, etc.
I am able to continue the Sweet 16 poll, drop baseball notes online and into the paper, and cover a game every so often.
But spring is a bear, with seven sports going on (eight if you count lacrosse).
Too many things to cover.
Not enough soldiers.
I wish we could do more, for everyone. In every sport.

Simple answer really---If you are a Cub and play 80 games at Wrigley or a member of the Rockies with 80 games in mile high air do your home runs not count same? If you hit it 450 over the 320 LF wall do you get credit for 1.5?

Hit'em where you are. They all count.

Sure enough since we are not allowed to count 1 shot as 2.....Chase has gone yard twice tonight against Conley and the game has not ended yet BUT Rose has a 9-0 lead...

 

Wow...looks like Rose is playing with a chip on their shoulder tonight---atta baby, Chase!
