    Our field.

Its 416 dead center and 365 plus at the corners. No one has hit it out of this park this year but that is not to be blamed for the distance. Its a matter of training and skills in this league.

Sure someone from NC could knock it out in this park. Just not that many.

    Cliff,

    A few comments:
    • First, thanks for your coverage of HS baseball....we all hate to see it diminished and we know you have been a supporter
    • As the Observer keeps making cuts, they make the paper less relevant and valuable...ultimately driving down readership and advertising, both costly trends that will eventually shut the presses down. Now is a time to put more in the paper, not less.
    • Sure is a ton of HS football coverage in the paper (in April !!)
    • Could you solicit the stats as you previously did and publish them here on TBR?
    • PhilleyDave was right...your stat compilations are missed, as they were a nice regional barometer of team and individual performances.
    • Please don't let them take away the boxscores....our last, fine print stand against total ignorance!!

The thing about Chase is that he is not just a power hitter, he is a hitter with power. The kid can hit. He could hit when he was 9 and he can still hit at 17 and one day I will be saying the same thing about him in college.
