    2011 TYLER McCARTHY - Mallard Creek High School / South Charlotte Panthers has committed to attend school and play baseball for Surry Community College. Tyler will join the Knights next fall. He is concluding his senior year with Mallard Creek where he has been a four year starting pitcher for the I MECK 4A Tournament Champion Mavericks who enter NC Play offs play Friday night versus Sun Valley.

    Congratulations to Tyler and his parents Pat and Mary Ann.

    Congratulations Gump! Tyler is a great kid and a favorite of all his teammates. I wish him all the best.
