UMPIRE DEVELOPMENT CAMP

    Umpire Development and Improvement Camp

    Location: UNC-Charlotte Softball Complex
    Date: Friday Oct. 2nd; 6 pm to 9 pm
    Saturday Oct. 3rd; All Day
    Sunday Oct. 4th; All Day
    COST: $30.00 per official

    This camp will include Instruction On:

    Proper Signal Mechanics
    Plate Mechanics
    Base Mechanics
    2 – Man Field Mechanics
    Game Management Instruction

    This camp is geared for the proper development and improvement for officials who are presently officiating at the Middle / High School levels and for those currently officiating Travel Ball tournaments. Also, this will give anyone that wishes to have an opportunity to officiate collegiate softball, a chance to be evaluated for future assignments.

    Camp Instructors:

    32 yrs experience, which includes;
    The Pro Fast-Pitch Extreme Tour
    ACC, A-10, SoCon, Big South Championships
    Rodney Graves – Spartanburg, S.C.
    23 yrs experience, which includes;
    WPSL World Series; ACC, Peach belt, SoCon Championships
    Tim Inman – Raleigh, N.C.
    8 yrs experience, which includes;
    Graduate from the Harry Wendlestedt’s Professional Umpire School
    3 - SoCon Championships

    This may be a wonderful opportunity to send some of the umpires we've read about to camp. $30 sounds like a great value. I'll bet there are some who would pay the ump's way.
