    congratulations to Garrison. He is getting to live out his life long (even if it is only 18 years) dream. I am an educator, and believe in the power of education, but i am glad, happy and proud for him. i wish him nothing but good luck in his future.:pimp:

    Kudos!!!! Great competitor. Love the heels , But very happy for Garrison and his folks. Maybe little brother can follow in his footsteps.

    I think a pretty strong case could be made that NC players place a higher value on the college experience at UNC, than out of state players when 5 out of 6 drafted players from out of state will not be attending classes at Chapel Hill. Looks like UNC was blindsided by the MLB this time around.
    If I made 3 straight trips to Omaha with a predominantly in-state roster, I'm not sure I would change my recruiting approach.

    If you missed it the White Sox signed Kyle Shelton.

    In the last 10 games playing rookie ball he is hitting .410 and overall he is hitting well over .300 !!

    White Sox got a steal of a deal signing a good player....
