    I was hoping they would wait a little longer in the interview process, but...it wouldn't surprise me at all that Kennedy (Elon) gets the job.

    Wow. thats a shocker to me. Always thought it would be an ACC job that he would move for.

    Doesn't have to move his family; Elon is limited in its resources and UNCG has bumped the pay substantially. While he has applied for ACC positions before, when opened, the UNCG job would be an accelerated step if one believes that UNCG can be a consistent top 25 team.

    There are many talented players wanting to go to that school with the right coach. I know of two and neither is Coach Kennedy. However, if he does get that position, it will point UNCG in the right direction.

    It will not be Kennedy because they want and need somebody with national connections. He's a great coach, but isn't going to get them where the AD wants the program to go. It will certainly be an ACC/SEC asst or possibly Mike Rikard as other boards have acknowledged. The biggest question will not be the bump in the head coach's salary, but the asst's pay. You can't pay guys 30k or 40k and expect them to stay when they have families.

    I get so tired of this, well, JUNK. (Nothing intended toward UNCG Fan as he just made a comment - unless he buys into that as well...)
    You can recruit in this state enough to WIN.
    Why do they have to be "national"?
    Look at the NC guys just drafted - some of whom wore jerseys for UGA or Clemson.
    Now, I understand players made choices to attend those out of state schools; but were they heavily enough recruited by the in-state schools?
    Two of NC's best bodied/velocitied 2012 high school RHP signed with Alabama and Arkansas - why? (Again, nothing against the players if those were their choices over in-state; absolutely their choice and I mean no insult.)

    But college coaches: why drive to Maryland and New Jersey and California and WHEREVER?
    Drive to Raleigh, Wilmington, Charlotte, Winston-Salem, Asheville - Kernersville!?! (We have a WalMart and Cookout!)

    RECRUIT NC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
