UNCP (23-4) maintains #7 national ranking

    Led by #5 Georgia College, four other Peach Belt Conference teams appeared in the latest Top 30 D2 Collegiate Baseball Magazine poll. UNCP stayed at #7, Armstrong Atlantic is at #12, followed by Francis Marion at #16 and Columbus State at #22.

    Over the weekend UNCP recorded their best 25 game start in program history by recording a 22-3 record after an opening series win over USC Aiken.

    UNCP reliever Braxton Lewis leads the PBC in ERA at 0.00 in 19.0 IP. The Braves pitchers have a combined ERA of 2.45 (2nd best in the PBC) and lead the conference by a comfortable margin in batters struck out.

    The Braves batters have adjusted nicely to the new bats as they are #2 in the PBC with a team BA of .322 and are #2 as well in slugging percentage at .480. They are third in HR’s at 19 as a team and second in runs scored.
