If anyone is going to be in the Wilmington area today you can find some good softball at UNCW. They are hosting the Wolfpack at 3pm and I believe they will play 1 game, but it may last longer than 7 innings...perhaps 9. There are quite a few Raleigh area athletes on both teams.

Yep, Morgan looked good. I think I remember at least two hits.

The game was more interesting than the final score makes it look. At the end of 4 it was tied 3-3 if I remember. Then both teams started subbing and it was obvious State has a deeper bench. The game was really good *until it lasted.*

That was the only game I've seen either team play this fall and what sticks in my mind is seeing them lined up down their respective baselines for the National Anthem. Just to know many of the players and having watched them play over the years made this game special.

On UNC-W was Kelsey Eddinger, Katie Kisner, Amanda Davenport, Jenn Ladd, Rachel Sawyer, Sammie Lisowsky, Carley Hughes from this area. I probably missed someone.

On NC State Morgan Barbour, Landon Warren, Aly Burr, Toni Ann Williford. Again, I know I missed someone.

That says something about softball in our area!! Thanks ladies for making your dreams come true; and ours, too!!

Central Cabarrus had three alumni in Allison Presnell, Morgan Peeler, and Bethaney Wells.

Didn't Bethaney hit one over? There were two over the fence if I remember; but I don't know who hit them.
