I can't watch another mismatch filled Easter Tournament. Let's let the weak teams play each other and the stronger ones battle it out in a different bracket. The tournaments I've watched the past few years were loaded with lopsided games.

Give your suggestions on how to put together a competitive HS Easter Tournament (or other Tournament).

Give examples of HS tournaments that are highly regarded.

Make suggestions on ways to improve these matchups.

    Wautauga

I saw Wautauga this past spring in Charlotte. They had a nice Club. The night I saw them the swung at too many high pitches and were a little too shaky on defense but they were very competitive. I'd much rather see them playing with the better Charlotte teams at Easter instead of the really bad Charlottte teams I saw mixed in these past few years.

    SHELBY EASTER TOUR.

Just come to Shelby. Nice facilities, good food nearby, and teams include South Caldwell, Charlotte Christian, East Rutherford and Shelby High. Lots of good matchups and college/pro bound prospects.

The year's South Meck participated in the Shelby tournament it was outstanding. I don't remember any weak teams at all. The problem with the tournament for SM is that East Meck also participated and those games counted when determining playoff seeding.

I love Jack Sink. He is a baseball icon. At one time, The Jack Sink Tournament was one of the best in the State. Now, I hate to say this, but it is one of the worst.

I'll never forget the year this team from the foothills came down to play in it. It was a rich tournament of teams and this school was a 3A that nobody paid attention to....it was Franklin. They beat everybody. To this day, it was the best HS team I have seen in decades. (Gary Morris, Greenwood and McDowell)...those guys left an impression

Last year Crest and Burns were the other participating teams. Burns finished at .500 and although Crest was young last year and finished under .500, they should be stronger this year and feature NC State signee Dusty Quattlebaum.

I suppose the field will be the same 6 teams for this years tournament.
