    Forgot about Ramsey

Coach 27 is right about Ramsey. He can hit and play multiple positions. Seen him on the mound, 3B, 1B and catcher. Ball comes off his bat hard and he doesn't get cheated.

    Justin Mock

Justin Mock at North Rowan High School was All CCC and All Rowan County last year. Hit 8 HR in the spring and summer. Summer batted over .500 with 21 2B & 41 RBI on a team that won over 30 games. Played w/the Copperheads this fall, lead team in 2B & RBI was 2nd on team in Average & OBP. Has a great attitude and hard worker.

Michael Knox - Apex High School

Knox missed last year with a broken foot, so he's really under the radar. While out last year, he worked out and turned into a stud. He's 6'3" about 225 and can move pretty well for his size. Power-wise, kid can take it out of the yard regularly. Saw him in bp other day and I don't think he had one stroke that didn't hit the fence on one hop (frozen rope one-hopper), or go over. Great swing, excellent bat speed. Can flat out crush the ball.

It's hard to believe that Ramsey is still out there. He's one of the best players in WNC and a definite D1 propsect. The fact that he hasn't settled into one position may have hurt him, but that was a coaching decision that he couldn't control. He's big, strong and athletic with a great arm and big bat. Personally, I like him behind the plate. He's also an outstanding student, very coachable and just a good kid.

    Robbie Penny & Charlie Gore

Robbie Penny an outstanding pitcher from Whiteville High School. Pitches right hand, has upper 80's fast ball and very good breaking ball. Bats left handed, very good power. He puts the ball in play with power and should put a few balls across the fence this year!

Charlie Gore....Whiteville High School outfielder...has 6.4 60 speed and has an abundance of power at plate...Already broken alot of bats since the summer in the indoor facility.....He has very big arms....Look out for this guy...should put up a lot of home runs this year.

Wow...some very interesting feedback guys. These are the type players I enjoy reading about...under the radar, but terrifically talented. They just need the exposure. It sounds like these guys are going to make some college coaches very happy

Alex gets my vote as a great contact hitter and athlete. It's a compliment that he has had to play so many different roles for the Vance squad and some of these may have not showcased his abilities to the fullest.

I would assume interest will pick up significantly as coaches get out to games this spring. I've always been impressed in the way he handles himself and the bat.

Good luck to him this spring.

Alex Hill is on many schools' radar. I expect to hear something pretty soon.

I watched Penny, Gore and Mock all fall with the Copperheads. Penny is a legit arm, excellent pitcher. Gore is a hard nosed outfielder with good speed and a good stick. Mock is a very solid corner guy, strong hitter that knows how to run the bases. They are all solid guys with character and they can flat out play.

I would think that each of these guys will contribute at the collegiate level, as each have different things to offer. If anybody were to want to talk to me personally about any of these 3 guys, I will gladly do anything for them I can.
