    Gotta love them Hopewell Titans(?)
    They are a young team and playing great ball.
    To me they seem like a club with good solid athletes that play together to win, no suprestars, just a team with drive, desire and work ethic, and thats a winning combination in my book.
    With any luck we will get to see each other in the regional playoffs.

    1A Southern Foothills Conference

    Cherryville, Maiden and North Lincoln are currently tied for 1st place in Southern Foothills.
    Cherryville has 2 losses - 1 to NL, and 1 to Polk county in 11 innings.
    Maiden has 2 losses - both to Cherryville.
    NL has 2 losses - 1 to Cherryville and 1 to Maiden.

    The NL-Maiden game has been changed to Wednesday night, 5/4, @ 4:30 due to predicted rain on Thurs. and Fri.
    It is @ NL. Whoever wins that game should be co-champs with Cherryville (providing Cherryville wins out - against Hendersonville and Bessemer City).

    It will be Senoir night. Should be great!!!

    Butler locks up SWAAAA Conf Championship

    With a 5 to 1 victory over East Meck.
    The bulldogs are the 2005 SWAAAA Champions.
    They are 20 - 1 and 12 - 1 conf with one game left against Myers Park tomm. at Butler. Myers Park gave the Bulldogs their one loss so far this year so it should be a great game.
    Butler JV is 18 - 0 with only Myers Park to play. Could M.P. be the spoiler for JV also? Come to the game tomorrow and find out.
    Good luck in the tournaments and playoffs to all the great players and teams that make up our sport.
