    Starmount

CFBall, I'm pretty sure that Starmount has only lost to West Forsyth and Forbush so far, two strong programs. I will get an updated record posted soon. The Lady Rams actually out hit Forbush in last Thursday's game but Forbush was able to get their wheels(Heather Brock) on base and manufactor a run in the 1st then followed up with a few timely hits to score a 2 more a few innings later. Starmount hit the ball fairly hard the first 4 innings then seemed to go cold at the end. Early on, I had a feeling that Starmount would come back and win the game but Forbush freshman pitcher Lauren Harris settled in nicely in the later innings to seal the win. I feel that Starmount should go deep in the playoffs and will probably have to play a strong East Surry team once again to decide who goes to Raleigh. Would like to see Starmount move some runners over occasionally and try to make some things happen instead of always waiting around for the big hit.

Forbush improved to 9-0 (6-0) with a 5-0 win over North Surry tonight. I will get back later about East Surry and Starmount.
