Salisbury Post indicated East will start sophomore Alex Bost today. Bost pitched on the jayvee team all year until he was brought up at the end of the year to pitch the NPC Championship game. He has pitched successfully throughout the playoffs. Thomas Allen, East's ace who has been slowed and who has not pitched in quiet some time, is healthy and available. I guess Hightower doesn't want to risk reaggravating the injury.....or he could be setting the East players and fans up for an emotional boost when Allen trots to the mound?!

    The Unsung Heroes!

Always get my attention in big games:
Peter Gobbell: (10-0) Really some good stuff from where I was sitting.
    Will Sapp:3-4, homerun & triple, 4 rbi's, 3 runs scored.

Statewide, you hear alot about Holmes, Allen, & Troutman, but East has some other guys that are good as well.

karl, thats the way its been all year for East,,, all their players look and play alike. The scary part about it, is only the 3 you mentioned and a few more are seniors,,, they are very young overall.

    Relief Experts

A relief expert is good to have & Johnson certainly is one of the best. That many appearances is impressive. Lefty is hard to connect with. Zach Houchins is Hunt's relief guy & he came in & stopped one uprising with 2 straight k's in the sixth. He's been pretty reliable all year also. You'll most likely see him as well again today also.

East Rowan wins Game 2 over Wilson Hunt by a 15-10 score to complete the 2-game sweep. Will Sapp named Finals MVP.

Congratulations to Wilson Hunt on an outstanding season, and congratulations to East Rowan on being NC 3A STATE CHAMPIONS!!!

    Great series

Laney won the first game today and just hit a solo shot in extra innings to take a 6-5 lead in the rubber game. WOW....3 outs to go for a state championship.

LANEY a 4 seed wins the state championship. Congrats.
