you are so right. I see things like this every game. I guess that is why my DD has only one win against a weak team.

Same situation here. We have an ex-baseball coach who thinks there is no difference between softball and baseball. When he coaches third base he yells across the field to the runners to "get your primary lead". My daughter is so frustrated. It is her senior year and she can't wait for it to be over. She is so embarrassed in front of her travel teammates who play for other schools in the conference. It burns me up that the powers that be at our school care so little about the girls sports that they hire people who are not qualified to do the job.

I am in the same boat with you....My daughters coach and team have no clue once so ever about softball. My daughter has to pitch because she is the only one that can windmill although she has never pitched a day in her life. We havent won a game and I get so frustrated as does she. her mom and I have talked about her quitting but we dont want to be bad sports about it. She plays on a very competitive travel team and we are about at a breaking point.... by the way we also play our home games on a mens industrial league baseball field that has 350' fences and they dont put up temporary fences (is this even legal?) because our field at the high school was deemed UNPLAYABLE, I wonder if our football team would ever have to play a game on someone elses' field...LOL....thats a BIG FAT NO!!!!! I know this has nothing to do with the overall thread but I just felt the need to vent too...

As for the thread I would have never guessed that the St Stephens coach would have done such a thing. Im as lost as you guys are.
