    I felt like the Cardinals held their own fairly well, they made some nice plays and put the ball in play but the US team was very strong and proved why they were there. Fernandez seemed to get stronger every inning and also hit a pretty long homer.

    amazing young woman and a great pitcher...............wish Jennie had here; seen Lisa pitch and hit before.

    enjoy the game, Coops :D and do pass along the results and your thoughts on TEAM USA when you get back!!!

    I had a blast at the game this afternoon. Unfortunately, the Kansas All-Stars gave up a 7 run 4th(?) inning and the USA team ended up winning 8-0. Not much hitting going on with both teams although the first batter for the All-Stars had an infield hit (she had speed!). Most of the hitting took place during batting warmups. Bustos hit 4 consecutive home run balls and they didn't just go over the fence (215 feet), they went over the second set of fencing they had set up at the ballpark.

    Osterman pitched the first 5 innings and then Lisa came in. Lisa was DHing earlier so we did get to see her bat. (I'm a HUGE Lisa fan and got several pictures of her.) I also got other pictures, not too many though, but unfortunately, my card reader is on my computer at work. Maybe Mom will let me get the pics off at her house. I'll check tonight. I didn't stay for the autograph session as I would have been there for hours. The younger softballers who attended the game seemed to enjoy themselves. I fried my arms and face, but had a great time!

    glad to see you enjoyed the Game and getting the opportunity to see Lisa. Hope you can post those pics soon from mom's and bet you got some of the "little smiley faced softballers" hounding for them autographs. Great inspiration to younguns and America!
