    observations:
    - there's some bad teams out there internationally (i.e. Italy - surely there are many D1 college teams that could beat those gals; on a couple of throws home from the OF the throws were ending up everywhere except at home plate!!!).
    - USA looks very good......more team speed than before?? and the HR is the deal now and lots of hitting all around. less slapping which I think spurs fan interest.

    - really enjoyed watching Mens slowpitch USA vs. Canada; it was a blast. lot of strategy with the 10 HR limit and starting w/ the 1-1 count.......and out on a 3rd strike foul ball. Bobby Lutz basketball coach at UNCC was a guest commentator. he did a great job; understand he played a lot of high level SP and coached as well.

I like slapping... more intesting to me than the long bombs. Like to see them too, but... trotting around the bases gets old after a while. :)

I am watching because I love the sport but at the WS in OKC we had a thread talking about Michelle Smith and some of her inane observations. Here is her latest: a back door curve ball.. as anyone knows a back door curve is when the pitcher throws a curve trying to catch the outside corner to a batter who is hitting from the opposite side of the plate, ie righty pitcher, lefty batter.

Well Michelle was extolling the virtues of Cat Ostermann throwing back door curves to lefty batters.

She makes the game almost unbearable to watch.

Mute is the way to go!

Yes, me too....the mute button works wonders. Michelle was very annoying with her chatter. Sometimes a little goes a long way.
