USC - SPARTANBURG SOFTBALL CLINIC

    Coach Chris Hawkins is having his annual hitting clinics. To attend see info below and you can go to their website to print out their applications. WWW.USCS.EDU Click on athletics and then on softball. Look for camp info. Here is info on the camp.

    Clinic Information







    The 2004 Chris Hawkins Fast Pitch Softball Instructional Clinics will be held January 24 and February 7 at USC Spartanburg.

    Each camper will receive specialized instruction aimed at developing an understanding of the game.

    The January 24 clinic is open for girls ages 6-18. The clinic will run from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. The cost of the clinic is $45. Teams bringing eight or more individuals will receive a discount of $10 per person, making the cost of the clinic $35 per person.

    The February 7 clinic is open for girls ages 6-12. The clinic will run from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. The cost of the clinic is $45. Teams bringing eight or more individuals will receive a discount of $10 per person, making the cost of the clinic $35 per person.

    - Head Coach at USC Spartanburg
    - USCS Hall of Fame Inductee in 2003
    - Played collegiate baseball, graduating from USCS
    - Drafted by the Houston Astros, playing in their farm system for one season
    - Has coached 12 Peach Belt All-Conference performers, nine All-Region picks, and two All-Americans
    - Ranks in the Top 25 all-time for winning percentage in NCAA Division II

    - Played collegiate softball at USCS
    - Former pitching coach at East Tennessee State

    USCS players will also be on hand to assist in the camp

    Thanks EnkaJet04 for the clinic info and i just wanted to add that its an excellent hitting clinic. We have taken kids/players there for over 10 years and its the best around. Parents can follow along to each drill station, learn it whether player gets it or not, ask questions and get immediate feedback from instructors. Well worth the money and the short drive to Spartanburg.

    The 2-7-04 date is perfect for those 9th/10th graders trying to make a hs team or players seriously wanting to go into hs ball ready to perform at a highlevel.

    Thanks for clinic info post......buddy and call me sometime soon.....practicing with Emily nitely(home for Thanksgiving) and our younguns who are learning to pitch but always time for" Softball Talk"!

    Still :D HERE on USC-Sp signee!!!! We travel to play in a tournament in March04 in spartanburg against a great field of D2 powerhouse teams Chris has assembled...........wow we can hardly wait!
