The Elon Phoenix added Steven Hensley, RHP from Owen High School up in Black Mountain. Steven is playing this fall with the very strong Impact Dirtbags.

    Way to go Steve !!!!!!

Congrats to Wes and his family. Wes and I got to know each other very well last year. He is a great kid in a great family. If you know about the South Meck. baseball program then you know the Bordens. They have done so much for that program. Wes has can pull a coach into him when they see him work and practice. He is like the Rudy of baseball. He never can get enough of it. Its always one more or 10 more. I love the kid for who he is and for the work ethics that he has. He is a student for the game and isn't afraid to ask a question.
His family has done a great job. Good luck Wes.

    Stephen Hensley to Elon

Congratulations to Stephen. I've had the pleasure to see him develop over the years through hard work and dedication. He has command of three pitches and knows how to get people out. He's also projectable at 6'3" and 180. It's good to see a player from a smaller school get the recognition and rewards he deserves.

I'll echo WNCBB. Hensley when on is as good as anyone in the mountains. A terrific competitor. Elon continues to load up on quality arms.

    Way to go Nick !!!!!

Nick is going to have an outstanding career at ASU!

ASU has snared a fine core middle infield already for the 2005 signing class. Everyone knew it wouldn't take Coach Pollard long to be a force in the state. ASU is off to a great start this fall.
