    Charlotte Christian's standout catcher, Mason McVerry, has made a verbal committment to Presbyterian College recently! Congradulations to Mason and his family!

    Congrats to McVerry and his family. He is one of seven Charlotte Christian players to have committed/signed.

    His Grandfather, Pete Maynard, is looking down and smiling from ear to ear. Great day for Mason and his family....only have 13 more boys to go in the McVerry family:D

    Yes Pete is definitely proud of Mason. We all miss his presence at ballgames. He was a great fan and an even better man.

    Pete had an incredible influence on my family...as he had with so many others. My youngest son (now 8) wrote a story about Pete that was entered in his school's creative writing essay. It turned out that his story was awarded State's Best Essay in his grade level...yep..ol' Pete influenced many young kids..and oldster's too

    The "Mailman" to Wake Forest

    David Mailman 2007 standout at Providence High School has given a verbal committment to Wake Forest. I got to know David and his family this past fall....David is not just a solid player he is a terrific young man.

    That's kind of interesting.
    Only two NC players currently on the 06' Wake Forest roster (Bullock and Byrum) and both are from the same school, Greenville Rose.
    Now they have Mauney(06) and Mailman(07) from the same school, Providence.
