    Ben Lilly

Ben Lilly, Fred T Foard High School, has committed to the United States Naval Academy Prep School (www.naps.edu). After spending a year there, he will begin his career at the United States Naval Academy (www.usna.edu) in Annapolis. He was recruited primarily as a pitcher, but will be given an opportunity to play outfield as well.:woohoo:

It has been a real pleasure seeing this young man play the game the way it should be played. Of course, I am a little bit biased.....

Thanks to many of you (especially Dbacks) for your kind words of support over the years. Isn't it amazing how this great game can open all kinds of doors of opportunity?:229031_ha

Way to go Ben!!!!! This will be a fantastic opportunity, not to just play ball but to have one of the best education opportunities available!

I've known Ben for a long time and he is one of the hardest working players I seen play the game....David, I know you and the family are truely proud.

    Congratulations!:trophy: :trophy: :trophy:

    Butler Kids

Matt Bjorkstrom, a lefty, has signed with UNCG as a pitcher and a rightfielder and or 1st baseman. He is one of two starting pitchers and mixes time between 1st and outfield at Butler.

Harrison Helms, another lefty pitcher, signed with Radford University. He isn't pitching at Butler (dont know why???) and hasn't hit for the team since 9th grade...but is leading the team in 2Bs and a few other offenisve cat.

Congrats to both of these young men, Look for these kids this yr.

I don't think the Hunts will mind me sharing that Andrew (Hunt), left-handed ace for North Davidson has committed to Lenoir Rhyne. Andrew was the CPC POY last season. He's having a great Spring in spite of recovering from ACL surgery.

Andrew's batting over .500 too, but he knows he has 2 months until he can throw his batting gloves away!

Fred T Foard senior catcher Brian Dice has committed to Western Carolina University.:trophy:
Brian has been a four year starter with the Tigers and is a real team leader. I've had the pleasure to watch and coach Brian since he was a smallish, 10 year old learning to catch. He has really blossomed both behind the plate and at the dish. Congratulations to the whole Dice family!
