    Josh Salay signs with Winthrop

    Josh Salay 06 RHP/1B Rock Hill High School

    Josh will remain on home turf signing this week with the Winthrop University Eagles.

    He joins his three other South Charlotte Panther 06 teammates in signing their NLIs: Zach Parmer/Central Cabarrus to Wofford; Erik Sommerville/Providence to Francis Marion and Justin Schumer/East Meck to UNCA.

    North Meck's Zack Pou to Pfeiffer!

    Another big signing for the Falcons as Pfeiffer inks North Meck power hitter Zack Pou. Zack has really come into his own this year hitting several towering home runs :thud:and driving in a truckload of runs for the Vikes. Look for Zack to show up on the CVAC all-conference team the next few years. This is a fine young man and I know:trophy: his mom and dad are proud.

    Lake Norman's Sean Cotten to Tusculum!

    One of high school baseball's best-kept secrets, Lake Norman's Sean Cotten (he missed all of last year with an injury) can totally crush the ball and as good a hitter as I've seen when he goes on a tear. :yikes: Tusculum did their homework on this kid. Sean's also got a cannon behind the plate. I've known Sean and his family since coach-pitch and it's been fun watching him grow up and develop into a great ball-player. Good luck in the SAC Sean! :trophy: (enjoy that nice ball field up there)

    I was wondering when Sean would get a mention, folks in Charlotte have missed watching a very dedicated player. I was fortunate to have Sean play for me for a few years. Sean will join Paul Finger from West Lincoln at Tusculum.

    Mac Read to Davidson

    Mac signed his NLI last night to attend Davidson College and play for Dick Cooke. I can't tell you how excited he and I are for him to have the opportunity to attend one of the finest schools in the US and play baseball to boot. Thank you, Braves, for keeping my spirits after the early signing period went by. You were right all along.
