Josh Thrailkill commit to Clemson

Looks like Coach Leggett at Clemson is lining up some pretty strong arms from the 06 Class:

Addison Johnson
Ryan Morris
Graham Stoneburner
Josh Thrailkill

I would have thought the NC teams would have been a little more aggresive...pretty solid group here going to one school...3 of the 4 have a good chance playing both ways.

 

Clemson

Add Jason Taylor (MIF) from Virginia Beach to Clemson's 06 class. Thrailkill and Taylor are teammates on this year's U.S. Junior National Team.

Thrailkill also plays both ways. He was set back by knee surgrery after his sophomore year, but he's an excellent first basebman and has the potential to be a big time hitter. Look for him to have a strong all around year as a senior.

I don't know much about their 05 class other than Wil Boyd, but they're certainly loaded for the next 2-3 years with these additions and their returning underclassmen.

They should be a force in the ACC and challenge for the CWS over the next few years.

 

Clemson

WNCBB...I don't know much about their 05 Class either...but in addition to Wil they signed Ryan Hinson (big strong left hander) from South Carolina. Ryan was drafted in the late rounds this year but is going to stay with Clemson.

They are going to be tough the next few years.

 

Hinson

Ryan Hinson just completed his second season with the Charleston Diamond Devils. Hinson was the Most Valuable Pitcher at the just completed CABA Wood Bat Championships for the second year in a row. His record at the Perfect Games U18 Wood Bat Championships and the CABA Wood Bat Championships in 2004 and 2005 was a perfect 7-0. He was also named the MVP for South Carolina at the NC SC Senior Challenge at Myrtle Beach in June.

 

Alex Lee to Clemson

Speedy 06 outfielder Alex Lee from Ridge View High School, near Columbia, has also committed to the Tigers. Alex was named the Most Outstanding Hitter in the CABA U18 National Wood Bat Championships just completed this week. Alex played with the Diamond Devils U17 team this summer.

 

Clemson

It looks like a great bunch of recruits for both 05/06. Hopefully, they'll all make it to school. I was very impressed with Wil Boyd in the playoffs against TC Roberson this year.

 

DJ Mitchell also just signed with Clemson.

 

West Rowan standout P/OF Wade Moore has verbally comitted to NCSU. Congrats to Wade and his parents
