That's great news for Blaine and his close family. But didn't he sign with UNC?That's two D1's from the same school...are there anymore we should expect from AC?

    ACR's Howell

AC Reynolds LHP Blaine Howell did make a verbal commitment to UNC and I believe it was reported as "signed", but he rescinded UNC's offer and signed with BYU. I'm not sure if any more '06 ACR players will go D1 other than Duckworth 1B to UNC-Asheville, but 4 or 5 more players are being sought by other quality CC/NAIA schools.

AC Reynolds will have a lot of talent this year and should give the NW4A a good run. They had a 2nd place finish behind Alexander Central last season and was lucky enough to beat South Caldwell twice. :woohoo: It may go down to those two this year. They have several '07 players that could go D1 also. Definately, a team to watch.

Congrats to Eric and Art - I drafted and coached Eric (Even though I knew his Dad) when he was barely bigger than the ball. I knew then he was going to be a player just because he was fearless, and could throw strikes even at 8!! (Remember the kid pitch days of draw a walk-passed ball - passed ball -passed ball/run scored ??? ) Eric kept that from happening -and was a joy to coach.

Now Art on the other hand. . . And Braves, if you taught him everything you knew about umpiring, how much can you share in 2 minutes? Now I know the rest of the story:clown7: .....
