Jacob Mays for Mooresville JV. He was playing in the hole towards first (he's a 2nd basemen). Ball rocketed in the air up the middle. Never even saw it hit to be honest, Jacob Mays takes 2 steps, lays out and catches it. It was completely crazy. Probably ONE of the best, but I'm sure I've seen better this year, but yet still a goodie.

    state

I think this thread was intended for HS plays, but you know us ole Wolfpack fans are excited about this season, so...........in the ninth inning last Sat. night, with State protecting that 1 run lead over the Cocks. RF'er Dominique Rodgers' sliding catch of Scott Wingo's drive for the second out and sophomore second baseman Dallas Poulk made a diving stab completely laid out towards 2nd base, of lead-off hitter Reese Havens' liner to end the game.

    priceless!

    Ryan Stetson Catch in Finals

AK centerfielder Ryan Stetson was able to run down a ball that was absolutely smoked to left center field. He is one of the fastest players around, got a great jump and read, and still barely caught the ball in DEEP left center. I still do not know how he caught the ball, but it held back the tide even though the dam still broke later in the game.
