Oh, really ? What rule is that ?
An error defined by the MLB is when the fielder could have handled the ball with ordinary effort. It says nothing about deflections.

    Base Hit Not and Error

Definitely a base hit, Moore did a good job getting a glove on it, the ball was firmly hit, it was no chopper, and it did deflect off his glove as he made the effort.

    Return Game

What's going to be the title for the return game - "The Battle in Boone"?

See you guys there. I'll be wearing blue.

Hey where you've been? You have the game in Boone?..Wow! I'll be there to assist you if you need me :joker:

It will be a great one. I don't think the field can handle all of the people that will be coming. I hope Coach Hardee will be using that tram from the parking lot again. I wish they could have the game at ASU. They might be able to seat everyone coming

I hate to rain on the hype, but it ain't just a 2 team race anymore.
    I think there might be a 3 way tie for first in the conference after last night with;
    EB,SC & WHS all at 3-1.
McDowell,AC & ACR are also capable of beating any of the top three, so the frontrunners had better play seven innings of baseball every time out or risk getting knocked off.
If Patton had not pulled the plug on Freedom, the NW4A would have been an all-out brawl this year with every game up for grabs.
Wonder who pitched in the McDowell-EB game last night ?

No question, but that's not what makes their game so fun...it's the rivalry. And that rivalry has just been intensified. To my knowledge that was the first HS game that Messer has lost. I bet he will pitch against them again...and I bet he will pitch with a chip on his shoulder.

It's like in the SW4A conference. There are many teams that can beat each other, but when Providence plays Ardrey Kell, it is a special game.

There are great games all over the state, but I am limited in what I can see, so I try to find the one's that produce the biggest interest

It would be interesting to see what teams have won Confence champioships or how many over the last 20 or 25 years.

One win does not a rivalry make.
Watauga's biggest rival is Alexander Central.
If I could only go to one Watauga game each year, it would be at Taylorsville.
Playoff atmosphere guaranteed, year in and year out.
    BTW, what's AC's conference record ?
    They might be 3-1 also.
