Hornak has not been listed as a coach for a couple of months. McVay was brought recently as the new pitching coach. But Hornak had already left VT beofre Coach Smith at Western was hired by LSU.

But HSFAN is right, McVay has limited coaching experience, so unless WCU was looking for a young coach that won't likely challenge the administration, Hornak seems like the most reasonable choice.

Whoever it is, they will come in to a program that has a strong foundation with talented players and quality young ladies.
