    Wow - First day of WCWS was a barn burner . . . Tennessee upset UCLA and Nortwestern in a mild upset of Alabama. ESPN.com has some good reports of the games. I've canceled my cable - trying to get stuff done so I can get moved east . . . am thinking I may have to sneak off to watch a game or two. Last night's game between Tennessee and UCLA ended about 2:30 AM (central time) . . . if I'da known, I proabably would have ventured out . . .

    You could'nt have ask for a greater opening round to WCW all four games filled with excitement.
    Game #1 Arizona defeated Oregan St.3-2 9innings
    Game #2 Texas defeated Airzona St.2-0 Cat Osterman 18K's
    Game #3 Northwestern defeated Alabama 6-5 10 innings
    {Note in this game Bama was up 5-4 bottem of 7th inning 1-2 count and batter hit home run to tie game it was only 6th HR of season for her}
    Game #4 Tennessee defeated UCLA 4-3 {UCLA is #1 seed}
    They pick back up tonight at 7pm winner bracket games for those of us not going to RDU.Good luck to N.D 4a and East Surry 1a.

    ONLY the 6th HR of season for a player??? I'd say 6 is pretty darn good , even for D1 softball!!
