For us in the western part of the state, we can throw in Constance Orr, & Ally"the cat" Blake. Good luck ladies, hope it's a good game. I can see Buck pacing now! LOL For those of us who can't make it, we want a full report, okay?

Almost Half of the UNC Team are NC Girls!

UNC is ranked as high as 18th in some preseason polls and this is with 8 of 18 players from NC!

The NC players are: Brittany Robinson, Breanna Brown, Alley Blake,Stephanie Murad, Anna Roberts, Constance Orr, Brittany McKinney, and Whitney Allen.

The UNC coaches should be applauded for recognizing and recruiting these NC girls. I haven't looked, but I would think UNC has one of the highest percentage of NC players on their roster of any school in the state.

There are NC girls on both rosters. You can bet that the place will be packed with family, HS/TB teammates, and friends on both sides!
    This will be fun.

I can't think of a better pre-season practice for HS teams than to attend this game!! You can have ALL of your players present--not just eight!!! What a great way to motivate a local HS team!! Go ahead--reserve the bus!!

Those of you who have contact with your HS coaches, email them tomorrow and encourage them to get their girls to the game! Next to best thing about it is it's free!! Best thing, of course, are the NC girls!!!!

PS: Keep your eyes on UNC-W, #3.

Out of all those schools only two--ECU and Gardner-Webb---do not have players local to the Raleigh area. And it's going to get even better!!

I nominate Marlin for the report. I don't know how he remembers things but he does!

    today's game

UNCW has a very young team, and I understand they had a couple of starting players missing from the lineup.

I was impressed with the look of the UNC-W team. Their pre-game drills were very impressive. I believe we will see a very successful team before this year's over. I really don't believe the score is a true indication of what this team will be.

Let's give the Tarheels due credit; they were impressive. They have a very good team. I would love to see these teams play each other again towards the end of the year.

Still very proud of our local girls--from both teams!
