    Wilson Hunt 2 C.B. Aycock 1

Ches Lamm & Avery Harper combine to throw a 1 hitter. Harper gets the win.

    Hough 9 JM Robinson 6

Hough beat JM Robinson in season opener 9-6. Johhny Piedmont looked good for three innings. Spencer Venator and Bailey Ober pitched 2 innings each in relief and looked good as well. Overall Hough looked very competitive. Strong up the middle with Daddio behind the dish, Jared Sobo at 2nd, Will Champion at SS, and Nate Mays in Center. Top of the line up looked good at the plate, Sobo, Bernado, Buchanon, Dueitt, Gragilla all looked goood at the plate... It's going to be a fun season!

    Hough 9 Jay M Robinson 6

The young Hough team opened their season against JM Robinson last night. It was a very good game through 3 innings it was back and forth with lead changes but the Hough players blew it open in the 4th and then again in the 7th. Way to go Hough!! JM Robinson is a very solid team with very good arms and bats.

Zach Winkler got the win for the Titans. At the plate the Titans were paced by homeruns from Josh Clark and Chad Felton. Ryan Mayhew and Winkler also had two hits a piece for the Titans. West takes on West Stokes today.

    McCue

For those that have to face McCue this year.......Good Luck, you'll need it. This young man was fun to watch. Not only does he throw very hard, he throws accurately. Just when our batters were setting dead red on the fast ball, he threw the nastiest curve ball. When your looking for the 90mph fastball and you get a curve ball that bites hard, well, you just do not have a chance.

Overall a well played game by both teams.

Weddington's Schellhorn pitched a great game. Holding AK to 1 ER is a feat in it's self. Without his performance, this game would have had a much wider margin in the score. Other highlights from the Weddington side:
Catcher Andrew Knight had a double and combining with Prillaman at 2nd caught one stealing.
Honeycutt, Prillaman, Shellhorn combine for the 6,4,3 double play.

McCue's performance was great, (and not to diminish it) but the highlight of the game was Logan Ratledge going into the 5 hole, on the grass, making a backhand grab and twisting to fire the guy out at first. Lot's of guys out there that can go into the hole to make a play, but not like this one. It was a big league play all the way and showed off his arm strength. With guys like Rat behind you, as a pitcher you can pitch to contact and pound the strike zone all game.
