    What a great game to start the season. Both Teams played well from AK's McCue's 13 strike out pitching performance,Ratledge's Big League play in the hole and Preston Tiller's 2-3 with a double to Weddington's Sophmore Jeremy Schellhorn pitching 5 complete innings giving up 1 ER & 4 hits while getting 1 of the 4 Weddington hits along with catcher Andrew Knight 2-3 with a double & 1 caught stealing and Chase Prilliman with a shot into rt. center for the 4th. hit. Chase was also involved in the huge double play with Payden Honeycutt & Schellhorn in the 6th. that end the inning.
    What a great game by both Teams.
    Hats off to both Teams and Coaches for a great game.

    And a follow up to that... when mentioning your team, remember, not everyone knows the abbreviations or might mistake it for some other team (HHS = Hickory High School or Hibriten High School)? Since we are spread out all over the state, remember that you are talking to a whole lot of people here!

    Joel Haran pitched 5 innings and did really well. Tyler Hardee came in to close out the game. Cas Silber made two or three nice stops at third base and also had a couple of good hits. Daniel Adams hit a shot deep to the left field fence (330' down the line) for a double. Tyler Hardee had a nice hit to centerfield (400' dead center) for a double.

    Nice start for the young Spartans.

    FV wins over Clayton. Clayton gave up 3 homers....to Colin Carver, Zak Orrison and Addison Braswell

    Marvin Ridge 2 Piedmont 1

    Tough loss for Piedmont sophomore pitcher Colby Barnette on 1 ER to a vetern MR team. Brad Elwood 3-3 and Barnette 1-3 with an RBI for Piedmont.
