    West Lincoln 1 Fred T Foard 0 9 innings

Trent Rothlin pitched 7 PERFECT innings (13 K's, I think) for Foard but the Tigers could only muster 2 hits. West Lincoln's starter went all nine and did an outstanding job.

Durham Riverside 12, Raleigh Enloe 6

    WP: B. Stover
    LP: Zucchino

Riverside hit the ball extremely well, but their pitchers gave up a couple of long balls that kept it close until the 5th.

This was an outstanding game as I predicted. It was an early season pitchers duel between two of the best in the area. Sophmore Pratt Maynard gave a strong performance for the Vikings striking out 11 Rockets. Jerrod Moore went the distance for the Rockets to pick up the win. The rematch at Person on March 10th at 4:30 should be another good one.:woot:

Pitchers duel between Jerrod Moore (SR/RHP) for Person and Pratt Maynard (SO/RHP) for South Granville. Outstanding game defensively and a pleasure to watch, except for us coaches in the dugouts... jkept all of us on pins and needles. Both pitchers went very deep in the game, but pitch counts were low fo both on a very warm night. There were few baserunners in this game that got anywhere near scoring position.

No details. By the time I got there it was over. I believe Trevor Mullins had the start and the win but I don't think he pitched many innings.

Next up Mt. Tabor in Jamestown on Thursday.

Not positive, but what I heard through the grapevine:

    Broughton 7
    Cary 1

Close game until Broughton pulled away late.

    Watauga -1

    Wp-Addison Johnson
    Lp-Logan Bailey

Johnson was dominant tonight. Watauga's defense was a little shaky. Maybe better on Wed. when these teams square off again in Boone @ 5:00.
