    NW Cabarrus - 16 Robinson - 13

What a game. Jerrod Faggart hits a walk-off 3-run blast to end it in the eighth.

NWC was down 12-3 in this one. They battled back to tie at 13 and send the game to extra innings.

KYLE SEAGER WATCH: Another 2-HR night. Seager is batting .857 with 5 HRs and 11 RBI in 3 games (5 HRs in his last 5 official at bats) :thud: :thud:

Junior Andrew Lawing had 3 2Bs for NWC.

Outstanding relief pitching from sophomore Ryan Lazenby to get the win.

Jacob Jernigan pitched well early on for Robinson but had to leave when his pitch count swelled.

    Kannapolis-7 over East Meck-3

Jay Hosack pitched well for 6 innings and was also 3/4 with a HR at the plate. Brian Little and Alex Edwards added homeruns for the Wonders.

Went and squeezed a game into the schedule today ....... for some strange reason, decided on the North Meck versus South Meck game ....

Hmmmm. Can't imagine why I'd choose that one.

    North Meck, 3
    South Meck, 0

Brandon Whitt (junior) pitched a gem of a game. Zack Pou hit a towering HR shot to CF (and if you've see North's field, you know that's a poke!!!)

    Hopewell 11 Myers Park 10

This was an exciting game! Both teams took advantage of the other teams mistakes. Just when it appeared that Hopewell had the game in control, Myers Park came storming back and almost took the victory in the last inning. The fans on both sides of the field were holding their breath as the game ended on a groundball up the middle that was fielded cleanly by the SS and tagged second base for the last out with the bases loaded. Either team could have won this game as it was almost a coin flip. Both of these teams are very good and it will be interesting to watch them mature as the season progresses. This was a nonconference game and they will play each other again on March 20.

I only have Myers Park highlights:

    Pitching
    SP Nate Cudney 3 IP, 7 R, 2 ER, 5 H, 4 K, 2 BB
    RP1 Tom Girdwood 2/3 IP, 3 R, 2 ER, 0 H, 3 BB
    RP2 Ryan Rockecharlie 3 1/3 IP, 1 R, 1 ER, 4 H, 2 K

    Hitting:
    Jack Myers 2 1B, 2B, 3B, 3 R, 2 RBI
    Scott Matthews HR, 2 BB, 3 R, 2 RBI
    Billy Zwier 2B, 1B, R
    Nate Cudney 2 1B, R, 2 RBI
    Dennis Elliott 2B, SB, R
JD Ey 1B, BB, R, RBI

I apologize for not having Hopewell highlights but I didn't have their players names and there was a lot going on. Too much to keep track of really due to all the hits, runs, and action. Maybe someone from Hopewell can post their stats.

Oh by the way, Fred T Foard edged past West Lincoln 3-1. Ben Lilly pitched 6 innings of 2 hit ball with Andrew Wyant getting the save in the seventh. Brian Dice had a solo home run for the Tigers.

Fred T Foard pitching gave up 4 hits in 23 innings this week. :ylsuper:
