WEEK 10 SCORES

I have kept my mouth closed long enough. Ive seen every one of these girls games the past 3 years. They are getting better. MtnMan not 606 the other one, I saw in the other thread you talked about going to the national championship and finishing 9th. Yes you were able to go play there and yes you finished 9th, but you said that all of the teams in our conference had girls down there. So why don't we have more ladies out of our conference going to Tennessee, Duke, Carolina, etc... You act like this is the only national championship played a year when you know there is one almost every month. I mean if each of those teams had good enough players to "take" their teams to nationals, you would have to figure that at least a couple would do big things and go to a ranked school, or at least a D1 school. Don't think for a second that we have the number 9 team in the nation for that age here in Boone NC. You know as well as I do, if you take the girls to a New York tournament where entry fee isn't high, they don't come close to winning the tournament. On the other hand I think the girls team is going uphill and it just takes time. Cool down on Klay he isn't trying to lose. The girls like him.

 

A shame

Any administrator/athletic director who has to be removed from an arena and who continually screams and berates officials to the point of following them into their dressing room is no one to be jealous of. It's an embarassment to FHS. I feel for Ali.

 

Sometimes its hard to tell the difference between jealousy and dislike. In this case I am not jealous. As for his daughter being better than mine, thats an easy one. I think Ali is a fantastic player, one of the best I have ever seen. I dare not compare the two because their is very little comparison. Thus, all the more reason to find his actions so revolting. He causes ill will for his own daughter with his childish behavior. I would not speak negatively of a high school athlete in this type forum, but if I did I would not have anything to say about the young Ms. ford. I think she is great.

I'm just asking a question here. Has Freedom won a State Championship with Ford playing? We are in a different conference and I don't keep up with their conference. I always hear alot about Ford. Just was wondering. What about Washington from McDowell? Any State Championships?

 

SC and Mcdowell. First quarter was a good game after that ?? By far our worst game of the year. But not having our point gaurd for the game really hurt. Still wouldn't have won but I think it would have been a better game. I would like to say one thing about Mcdowell's girls and boys teams. Both are CLASS ACTS. Best display of sportsmanship of any team we played all year. Be proud of your athletes they showed me a lot tonight.
