    WILD ONE @ WATAUGA---PHS 20 Watauga 8-- 5 Innings

Providence came to play today and the mountain air agreed with them. The Panthers scored 4 runs in each of the first three innings, but "Pesky" Watauga wouldn't die. Watauga scored 2 runs in each of the first four innings v Erik Summerville (1st-3rd) and Shane Small (4th). Summerville got the start and some much needed time on the mound. PHS scored 2 in the fourth and 6 in the fifth to take a 20-8 lead. Shane Small tossed a scoreless fifth, the only scoreless frame for either team in the game, to end the game.

The hits & runs were numerous for the Panthers. Panther Offensive Highlights included: Cory Dunning 3-4, 2-2B, 3B and SacF, Keith Mauney 2-4, 2-HRs, 1 HBP, 5 RBIs; David Scism 2-4, 3 RBIs; Erik Summervile 2-2 and I apologize for leaving others out.

The Panthers Finished up the Regular Season 20-4: 12-2 SW4A (CHAMPS).

I like to hear about the Providence Panthers coming ontop of their conference, over shadowing the highly rated South Meck Sabres. I know alot of good kids that go to Providence, and I'm glad to see them take their conference- good luck in the playoffs!

North Forsyth 2, East Forsyth 0

North Forsyth scored in the 3rd and 6th inning to give Jamie Serber all he needed on the mound as he threw his third consecutive shut out. That runs his scoreless innings streak to 26 1/3 innings. In the 3rd, Michael Wall drew a lead-off walk, D.J. Mitchell singled, and Wall scored on a fielder's choice by Addison Johnson.
The Vikings manufactured a run in the 6th when Stefan Morris lead off with a double, (giving him a hit in every conference game), advanced to 3b after great situational hitting by Johnson, and scored on a Sac-Fly by Wes Hobson.
Great Baseball. Well played game by two very good teams.

    1. North Forsyth (8-2)
    2. East Forsyth (6-4)
    2. NW Guilford (6-4)
    4. Grimsley (5-5)
