Courage is FEAR, that said it's PRAYERS.
    AC Reynolds 67
    Enka 41

Enka tried to hold the ball tonight after losing to ACR last time 107-46, well it sort of worked in the first half as ACR led 26-21 but the second half ACR's defense was too much as they jumped out on a 24-2 run to start the 3rd and never looked back. DJ Clement led the way as he was the only Rocket in double figures with 16, Hughes and Anderson added 9 each while Eby chipped in with 8 in limited minutes.

SC wins over Mcdowell. I think the final margin was 11.

South looked good tonight shooting the three. It was my first time seeing them this year but they seemed to close out the game well with FT shooting. Where did the crowd go for the boys game? It was nice at halftime to see that older guy give the basketball to the handicapped boy...most people would have tried to sell it on e-bay.

I guess with the win, everyone will get off Coach Crisp's back and start getting onto Coach Church.

Next week should be wild, 2nd place still up for grabs!

The 2 biggest factors in this game was the shooting of South Caldwell and the injury to Matt Evans. South probably shot 70% in the second half. Matt got hurt early in the first quarter and he never was the same after that. Normally he is all over the court (ask East Burke). Believe it or not we still have a chance to finish 2nd in the conference. South has won 3 games in the conference and 2 of them are over MHS. In my opinion that is terrible. (no disrespect to SC)

    Crest 77 Hunter Huss 71

Crest was led by Brandon Spikes with 22. Jared Maddox and Rayshawn Roseboro each had 15, and Bruce Smith added 14. Crest is still playing without Dion Malachai. He should return next week. Crest will play at East Gaston on Tuesday.

It was a wild night at Huss. The Coach for Huss had been on the officials all night. He was upset because Spikes had drawn like 4 charges and he was yelling at the official about Spikes size and how he shouldn't get the call. Well during the 4th qtr Huss calls a TO. As Spikes is walking off the floor the Coach puts his forearm in into Spikes chest. My jaw nearly hit the floor. Spikes turns and says "Come on man". Well the Huss bench clears and comes after Spikes. The cops run onto the floor, Huss fans are running onto the floor. Gotta give Coach Ellis for Crest credit. He got his team straight to the bench and kept them from getting into what could have been a bad situation. The officials call a Tech on Huss. It was funny that after that Spikes shot and hit both Free throws and then scored on the inbounds.

This is why I miss the NW4A. Fans knew how to support their team without all of the mess. Fans were running on the floor at Ashbrook as well and nothing was ever done. At that game we were told to stay in the building because somebody had a gun in the parking lot. A North Gaston fan pulled a hatchet in the parking lot after that game.

I couldn't figure out why after all that had went on during the Huss game, the cops were letting people stand around in the parking lot and have a street party. They were all standing up next to the building having social hour instead of checking out what was going on.
