    Lake Norman Baseball

Lake Norman defeated a very good Hough team tonight. What a game for App State commit, Taylor Thurber. He threw a complete game, striking out 9 and 0 walks. At the plate he was 3-4 with a drag bunt, in which next batter hit a HR. He also helped his cause with a 2 run HR in the 5th and an RBI single in the 6th. Ian Edmiston also had a big game with a 2B and a 2 run HR, as well as some nice plays at short. Jesse Seaford, Jack Edmiston, Drew McNeil, Joey McAlpin and Michael Knight all had hits for the Wildcats. Jared Sobo, Nick Daddio and Brandon Gragilua had hits for Hough.

    North Meck Win

Great win for North last night against a very talented Mooresville team. Not going to get too excited, but said before, a team that has coaching experience, and more than anything has fun and plays loose, can cause problems for teams down the road.

Great game for Paul on the mound. Thurber also threw a comlete game last night for LN as well. Seems early to be throwing kids that many pitches this early in the season, but from the posts last week and this week, it seems to be the norm for this area, so what do I know...teams are winning.

Congrats Coach and welcome to the wild and crazy I-Meck!

2 Middle Creek games, both suspended games due to darkness (@ Athens, @ Broughton).

Today, Middle Creek lead Broughton 15-7 in the 5th inning when the game was called mid inning due to darkness. It will resume at a later date.

Seth Watkins had 2 HR's and Will Fuller had 3 doubles for MC.

Sophomore, Jake Benedict had a no hitter for about 4 innings.
