Green Hope wins 12-3 over Cary. In conference, GH goes to 4-1, Cary drops to 0-4.

Will Gilbert pitched 4 innings for GH, allowing just 2 unearned runs. Jonathon Grudee pitched the 5th and 6th, allowing just one hit and one run. Daniel Sondag struck out the side in the 7th.

Don't know any exact stats, but Green Hope jumped out to a quick 6-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Cary put up 2 runs in the top of the second I think. Green Hope pretty much held them for the rest of the game, scoring some additional insurance runs. GH actually had a runner on third with 1 out in the bottom of the sixth up 12-3. A foul pop-up was almost caught by a Cary outfielder which would have allowed the runner on third to tag and 10-run Cary. i couldn't tell from my vantage point if the outfielder missed it on purpose or just didn't get there in time. Smart play on his part if he let it drop, I guess.

Butler's bats come alive early as the Bulldogs defeat Myers Park 10-0 at Jack Sink Field. Butler plated 4 in the first and 4 in the second to race out to an 8-0 lead after 2 innings. Tommy Hibbard hits a 3-run homer in the first after singles from Gehringer and Hodge. Gehringer then hits a 2-run homer in the second inning. Brandon Mcwhirter pitches the complete game going 5 innings giving up only 3 hits to get his second win of the season. Multiple hits come from Hibbard, Hodge, Revell, Gehringer and Eisenbath. The team had 13 in all.
Rocky River is next at Butler on Tuesday.
