    GOOD GAME TODAY

Providence @ Hopewell, hope the providence boys lose a few bats on the trip to Hopewell. This is an Observer Sweet 16 match up between #1 and #9.

    Fred T Foard 12 West Iredell 0 6 innings

The Foard bats continue to stay hot. Aaron King led the way with 2 home runs while Andrew Wyant also had a home run. :woohoo:

Don't know any other hitting details, but they were numerous. King pitched 2 hit ball over 5 innings with Wyant pitching a scoreless inning.

The Tigers (1-0) next play Newton on Tuesday in resuming conference play.

    PROVIDENCE 15 Hopewell 1 (5 innings)

    WP: Hendel (2-0)

PHS plated 11 runs in the top of the 5th to break open a 4-1 game. Providence banged out 24 hits to Hopewell's 4. Leading the charge were Eric Sommerville, 4-4, 4 RBis; Ryan Semeniuk 3-4, 2 RBIs; and Kevin Shackleford, 3-4, 2 RBIs.

PROVIDENCE is now 5-0 on the season and Faces South Meck at PHS on Tuesday at 4:30p. Bring your machete to cut through the tension on this one!! PHS was 25-5 on the Season last year but was 0-3 v SMeck...both games during the season went into extra innings.

    :woohoo: :woohoo:
