Believe it or not my first ever trip to the mountain top there in Ledger. Can't quite describe how crazy this one was. First off...the scoreboard didn't work. The PA guy told everybody he would keep an updated tab on the official time being kept on the field. So about once or twice per period, the PA guy would announce how much time was left in the game. Second...the PA guy about three minutes before the game asked if anyone was willing the work the chains on the sideline. Lots of organization among the folks in Mitchell County

Terrance "Buggy" Kincaid scored three touchdowns for the Titans tonight, and I'm guessing about 170 yards. The passing game wasn't there tonight as it was in the Roberson game. Our fullbacks (Gardner and Mathes) was able to get some good gains in short yardage situations. All in all a decent performance on offense, not as good as last week but enough to win. Defense still struggling. Haynie will get some gray hair for sure this year working with the defense but I think in the end it will get better. Mitchell ran about five plays the entire night. One was a passing play to a wide open flanker in the middle of the field, another was a screen pass in which our defensive ends would over-compensate every single time, leaving the Mitchell back with about 15 yards of open space to run. And then Mitchell would run a couple misdirection plays with the tailback and quarterback. the McDowell D'Line was able to figure it out somewhat in the 2nd half, but I think Mitchell wore out late as well. Mitchell did have one more shot in the final two minutes of the but turn the ball over on downs.

Considering all the craziness, I'm glad we got the win. Big test coming up next week with East Rutherford, I think that game may tell the tale of how the Titans season will fare.

    Na, unforunately I didn't... :lolly:

BTW, in another bit of bizzare news Mitchell is already having their homecoming next week. I guess they do it differently in 'dem mountains.

Did I just see correctly over at NCPreps that Crest beat Burns 26-0?

Burns has one of the top QB's in the state and a high powered offense and they still get blanked?
