    Hopewell over East Gaston

    Hopewell - 11 East Gaston - 1 (6 innings)

    WP - May (2-0)
    LP - Bailey

Sophomore Hunter May had another good outing as he gets the win for Hopewell, limiting East Gaston to 2 hits through the first 5 innings. Jon Fisher closes for the Titans in the 6th, allowing no hits. Leading hitters for the Titans included Lane (2-2) HR; Fisher (2-3) and Waters 1-3 (3B). Hopewell improves its record to 11-1. Next up for the Titans is the big conference matchup against North Meck on Tuesday.

    Congrats!

Ya'll have a good, young ball team out there. Senior leadership is awesome and you will go places. Your team is much like ours.. Two seniors and a lot of young talent. I look forward to playing you guys and watching young Luke for 4 years. Great kid and family. Super player! Congrats and it was good to see you and papa Eagles the other day.

    Grimsley Easter Tournament

    Game 1: Patton 6 North Stanley 0
    Game 2: Patton 7 Reidsville 5
Game 3: (Championship Game) Greensboro Dudley 6 Patton 5
may have been the best baseball game that I have ever been apart of, both sides would not quit with Dudley winning in extra innings.

    Salem Baptist-10

    Woodland Christian-7

    F/9

Matt Wood pitches 6 1/3 innings of relief allowing 2 unearned runs on 1 hit while striking out 7.

Salem trailed 5-3 with 2 outs and no one on when Woodland pitcher Seth Speas walked Jordan Webster. Webster then scored while trying to steal 2nd, the throw was too high and went into center field, Woodland's centerfielder then made a bad throw to third and Webster scored making it 5-4. Speas then walked and hit the next 2 batters. with runners on 1st and 2nd and 2 out in the top of the 7th-Freshmen Charlie Heath hit a long fly to right field where it was bobbled by the right fielder allowing Salem to tie the game and sent it to extra innings. Salem later exploded in the top of the 9th for 5 runs.

Matt Wood(3-1) gets the win for Salem who is now 6-1. Sam Shore gets the save.

Salem will play at rival Gospel Light on Tuesday. Future UNCW Seahawk Aaron Jones is expected to pitch for GL.

    West Stanly/Salisbury

West Stanly defeats Salisbury at the old ballpark today 5-4. Matt Reed picks up the win in relief of Bradly Love. West came from behind in the bottom of the 7th to win. Catcher Tyler Eudy gets a hit and pinch hitter Junior Corey Hartis then hits a triple down the right field line to tie the game. Salisbury then intentionally walks the lead off hitter and 2 hole hitter to load the bases. Tyler Westall gets a single to win the game for West Stanly. West Stanly played a little sloppy at times in the game, do not know enough to comment about the game play of Salisbury. West Stanly remains undefeated at 11-0. I believe Matt Reed is 6-0 for the year.

    Person 7-4

We gave up 6 unearned runs on 6 errors.
Dylan Dickens pitched a heckuva game!! Consistently made the hit ground balls which we could not field tonight. Bagbey (Halifax) hits the ball as hard as I have ever seen a high school player hit it!! His ground balls are lasers!!
We must eliminate the mistakes to get back on track.
