    Heritage wins Cap 8 opener with a 3 to 1 win over Wake Forest. Tyler Petersen pitched a complete game for Heritage

    N Gaston starts a LHP freshman and hits their way to an early lead. Olympic rallies late with 3 run 6th, but come up short.

    Charlotte Catholic defeated Charlotte Christian 3-1. Chase Arnold's 2 run double in the 5th inning was the difference. Big crowd out at Jack Hughes Park for this one.

    Sanderson 9 Knightdale 1

    Sanderson improved to 3-1 on the season with a 9 to 1 victory over Knightdale. Sophmore Ray Roby picked up the win in pitching 6 strong innings and allowing only 2 hits. CAS Silber was hot at the plate in going 3-4 on the night, Tyler Hardee was 1-1 with 3 BB, and Tim Smiley followed up his Friday night walk-off with another strong game at the plate. The Spartans are gearing up for CAP-8 Conference play this week with a pair of games against Wakefield and Heritage.
