South Caldwell defeats East Burke 13 - 0 in 5 innings

South Caldwell easily beat East Burke in Icard tonight behind the pitching of Jimmy Messer who gave up a total of 1 hit in East Burke's final at bat and had 9 strikeouts. South goes to 5-0 on the year and has an overall team ERA still of 0.00. The lone run South allowed was an unearned run earlier this season.

South averages giving up only 1 hit a game and has yielded only a total of 5 hits the entire season. South has 3 extremely strong arms in the lineup. South banged out 13 hits on the evening.

Messer took the mound tonight so he would be ready for next Monday's showdown in Sawmills with Watauga. You had better arrive early because everyone has been looking forward to this much anticipated showdown for many months now. The hillside at South has been mowed down to handle the overflow of people if needed.
