    Robinson 8 Piedmont 5

Piedmont fell to Robinson today. Robinson had great pitching and timely hits. For the Panthers junior Adam Sedberry got his first varsity start and pitched very well, and sophomore Nathan Lee saw his first time on the hill throwing the last two. Nathan pitched well also. Timmy King and Montana Brigman homered for the Panthers. Hopefully the experience will pey off for the team later on and even into next year. Piedmont will be at Charlotte Christian @ 5:00 tomorrow,

    Charlotte Christian 7 @ Richmond Senior 5

    WP: Gaines

christian beats a powerful richmond senior team tonight

wow whata game, lots of fireworks. christian put 4 runs up in the 1st inning on a kurt fulginiti 2 out, 2rbi double, christian builds up a 7-2 lead going into the 6th. a controversal slide at 2nd that took out secondbasemen charles bradley got everyones blood boiling a bit earlier in the game. in the 7th with mason mcverry on 3rd, christian squeezes and mcverry ends up running over the catcher (the C was 6 feet up the line, it was legal haha) and the C pushes mcverry to the ground, and the benches were then cleared, after some words were exchanged by both teams the umpires decided to eject both coaches and both mcverry and Richmond's catcher. it was a wild game, the umpires did some other wacky stuff like ejecting a kid for wearing a necklace, etc.

christian looks like a completely different team then the 1st couple of games and have won 3 straight vs. quality opponents,

CCS will host piedmont tom. night in a great pitching matchup Bard vs. King at 5pm

    CCS V Piedmont

As much as I would like to see this matchup- Piedmont has a first conference game friday, in which King will pitch there. What a matchup it would be though, as all the players know King personally as he knows all of them from CCS, would have been a great matchup.

Must have been a wild one for Trent Mongero to get the "heave-ho"... He's a competitor but rarely loses his cool unless things get out of hand. He's a class act...
