Dbacks20, don't worry aboput it, if you can't vent here, where else can you vent? I'm glad you feel better now, I know the feeling being a Phillies fan!

I'm glad to hear that some of the seniors did step up and address the team, shows a lot of moxie and heart on their part. Bagwell is too good a coach and the program is to good to continue to play the way they have. I expect to see things change shortly.

It was fun (not so much for Morris) a fan to watch a hitter like Mailman and Morris come together like that. What a shot!!

Morris is a real talent. It will be fun to watch him as his career continues.

MyThoughts: Davie-West game. Corriher and Howard had a hit, don't think Stewart did, but Vogler and Boyd also had a hit.

I see that Davie is off to a slow start in the conference play but don't count them out. This team scares me. They have quality wins over West and North Rowan. Remember "IT AIN'T OVER TILL THE FAT LADY SINGS!!!!!" Watch out for the Mustangs, They may be the spoiler as they were in basketball!

    Hickory/Maiden 3/14

    Hickory-8
    Maiden-3

Was not able to post earlier in the week because of a business trip. Do not remember many hitting details but Ben Gibbs got the win for the Tornadoes in his first start of the season. Hickory plays at Fred T. Foard on Friday-this should be an outstanding game-if you are within driving distance, it will be well worth your time...projected starters are Trent Rothlin(Foard) and Greg Baker(Hickory)...Foard's hitting is led by Brian Dice, Ben Lilly, Aaron King, and Trent Rothlin while Hickory is led by Derek Boliek, Greg Baker, Connor Hilton, and Clay Smith.....CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS ONE!!

Man...I would love to. But as Red Bear can attest, I would have to bring Braves Jr with me.....and he ain't cheap to feed. I've seen him eat 8 Concession hamburgers and 2 hot dogs at a single game. Geez, you would think that they don't feed him at LR

    Hopewell beat Waddell

Adam Waters So. Pitcher gets win and records a 5 inning no-hitter as the game ended due to the mercy rule.

Multiple hits by Matt Cochrane, Wes Dozier, Andrew Oliver, Zack Turton,
Chris Sharp and others I'm forgetting. All Hopewell players played at least 2 innings.

    South Granville vs Cedar Ridge

    Cedar Ridge 0
    SG 10

South Granville defeated Cedar Ridge tonight 10-0 in 6 innings. Soph Pratt Maynard threw a no hitter and allowed only one base runner on a BB. Maynard struck out 8 and the Vikings committed no errors on the night. Leading hitters tonight were Jr Chris Luck 3-3 5rbis 2 hr's. Soph Keith Goodwin 3-4 4rbis. Other HR's Maynard and Robbins. LP for Cedar Ridge Patrick Dennis. Dennis was pulled in the fourth and Cedar Ridge used three other guys on the night.

It was a dominating performance by Pratt he was one walk away from a perfect game against a very good Cedar Ridge team. Luck now has four hr's in 7 games. SG will play Kerr Vance at SG on Friday.

You're right, Braves. There's free food, and then there's food that your parents buy. For some reason, the bought food must taste so much sweeter!

I cringe when I ask, "Are you hungry?" and he replies, "a little bit". Might as well hand over the wallet.......:thud:
