    Butler 7 East Meck 3

Butler topples East Meck with a 7 run 6th inning at Butler Monday evening. Logan Sherer was cruising 3-0 into the bottom of the 6th when Butler put together 5 hits and a few EM miscues to run away 7-3. Malachi Hanes walked 8, but struck out 8 and completed the game after Butler's offense woke up.
Butler (5-3,2-1) travels to AK tomorrow for another huge conference game.

    Butler 3 AK 6

Fairly ugly game with errors by both teams and umpires too!

Butler 3 runs on 4 hits, 4 errors
AK 6 runs on 5 hits, 3 errors

Anyway, again with a disclaimer that this write up is automatically done by GameChanger software....

AK Knights take out Butler with help from Thornton, 6-3

Trent Thornton had a good game at the plate to help AK Knights to a 6-3 victory in seven innings over Butler on Wednesday at Ardrey Kell.
Thornton racked up two RBIs on one hit for AK Knights. Thornton singled in the first inning.

Logan Beehler was in control on the mound. Butler managed just one hit off of the AK Knights' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.

Butler had the lead early, but couldn't hold off AK Knights. Butler was ahead until the fifth inning, but AK Knights would not be denied the win, taking the lead back on an error.

Eisenbath racked up two RBIs on one hit for Butler. Eisenbath homered in the first inning.

Justin French threw one inning of scoreless ball for AK Knights.
The top of the first saw Butler take an early lead, 3-0. Butler's threat began with a single by Whittingh. A single by Moser then moved Whittingh from first to third. Then scored Whittingh. Butler pushed more runs across when Moser scored on a two-run home run by Eisenbath.
The game was never in doubt after the fifth, as AK Knights scored three runs on two errors.

East Meck tops Rocky River 2-0

If I could hit a golf ball at the flagstick as accurately as these two teams hit the ball directly at fielders, I would be on TV this weekend! The two pitchers allowed a total of 3 hits! Small ball made the difference.
The play that ended the game was comically indicative of the whole game. With one out, RR had a runner at first that attempted to steal second. The batter hit a hard line drive just to the right of the second base bag. The EM second baseman was moving toward second base to take the pick off throw from the catcher and caught the line drive just like a wide receiver on a slant route. He threw back to first and doubled up the runner for the last out.
