I was there briefly in the fifth inning and it was 9-2 Glenn. But the little time I was there Glenn was blasting line drives all over the place. Looked like batting practice. Still it was Ragsdale's first conference loss so they are still tied for first with SW Guilford. I think Glenn, East Forsyth and NW Guilford are all knotted right behind them with 2 losses each.

Piedmont Triad is going to be a five team battle royale.

 

Hate to hear that....I had mono as a 19 year-old and I remember the feeling very well. I'm sure that modern medicine has improved vastly in treating mono since then.

Eddie is a gamer and I expect to see him back in there by tournament time.

 

Time will tell

Have a feeling BBCOR, instruction, and strength training will create some good hitters next few years. Watched an 8th grader hit a HR in scrimmage (hit was about 330' dead center BBCOR). Got it on film actually. He "pimped" it. (posed afterward) Several 8th graders swinging 33" lumber and hitting fences in air or bounce this year at 320'.

Country Day scored in every frame in a non-conference game against visiting Hickory Grove. The Bucs got on the board in the first with a towering 3-run HR by senior first baseman, Colin Walls. Walls ripped a line shot over the left centerfield fence in his next at bat, finishing the night with 2 home runs and 5 RBI. Junior Patrick Brady drove in a couple with a triple to right center that threatened to leave the yard, but the park held it.

Sophomore pitcher Drew Loepprich picked up his third win of the season, cruising throught the first 4 innings while striking out six batters and walking none.

The Bucs entertain Cary Academy on Saturday morning at Ed Walton Field.

This varsity game at Butler has moved up to 4:30 due to weather concerns.......I assume JV will take the 7pm slot...............

 

First Flight 2 Greenbrier Christian (VA) 3

First Flight lost in the bottom of the seventh inning, great game by both teams...WP Matthews LP J. Brooks FFHS Vincent, DuCharme, Conway, Breit all were 1-3 at the plate. First time I've seen an out called on a coach for interference.....GC player rounding 3B, decides to hold up, slips slightly, and coach reaches out to stop runner's momentium and touches player. Runner is called out for coach interference.
