Too early to predict something like that... lake norman still has a long way to go if they want to go anywhere. 4a has some excellent teams. teams get hot at the right time. LKN just playing good ball right now. There winning with excellent pitching and timely hitting. still have some things they need to improve on as a team. i will say alot of people thought they would be a .500 team this year as they lost 11 seniors last year and moved up to 4a, they have 5 seniors this year 2 that started last year, 1 thats just a pitcher, and another that didnt play last year who decided to tryout this year. a good sign was scottie williams not having his best stuff yesterday and still was able to throw 5 innings and give his team a chance to win.

Not sure about that but I know DH Conley won the 4A in 2005 then moved down to 3A and beat Ragsdale in 2006.

If my memory is correct, I believe DH Conley was led by a gentleman named Alex White. Hmmmm...sound familiar?

    Ardrey Kell 5
    Watauga 3

    WP: ?
    LP: Jake Watts (2-1) 4.1 IP 2 K, 4 ER

    Watauga
    Cal Hardee 3-3
    Baker Stanley 2-2
    Matt Proffitt 1-4 2B RBI
    Ryan Turner 1-4 RBI
    Tyler Jones 1-4 RBI

    Ardrey Kell
    Alex Baker HR
    Alex Bartholomew HR

I have to say after seeing this game Ardrey Kell is the best infield defensive team in the state by far. Alex Baker made several outstanding plays at third along with Reinheimer and Ratledge up the middle. Any ground ball with a runner on first is just about an automatic double play. Both pitchers threw pretty well as Watts just made a couple mistakes that were hit for homeruns. It was a great matchup between two classy teams and coaches on a great day for baseball. Watauga returns to conference play Tuesday at St Stephens.
