    Butler vs. South meck

South did play well during this game (as expected!) in the frigid weather. Butler just couldn't muster any solid contact against Morris!! Untimely errors on the Butler defense contributed to the score.

One correction from the dbacks post. The Butler run was earned. Runner on 2nd in scoring position. Ball hit (actually dribbled) up the middle to score the run.

Not that it makes any difference but just want to provide an accurate history for those keeping tabs!!

What is wrong with Millbrook. You just cannot lose multiple games with two pitchers as good as they have. I'd put them up there with South Meck as early disappointments. But the season is long and both teams will probably be there in the end.

Good point! 5 years ago, Butler HS was picked to win the conference. They were loaded with talent. They lost their first 8 games...everybody counted them out. Guess what?

They ended the year conference champions, conference tournament champions and went deep into the playoffs.

I'm sure Millbrook will turn it around and it appears that SM will too
