    Oxford Webb 8 Bunn 7

    Centerfielder Thorpe hits a solo shot and Catcher Richmond a 3 run blast. Game won in the top of the 7th on a sac fly. Good game but Bunn was hurt by key errors.

    I was not at the game but will be tomorrow. Talked with Aubrey and he told me that Osbourne( out of Manassas) was strong and solid 1-9 in the order. Hobbs Johnson did pitch and threw a great game. Osbourne scored as the RMA backup leftielder lost the bead on a routine fly ball. RMA was without their regular strting outfield as Creighton Hayworth and Brandon Robertson were at a football combine and Kyle Alligood sat out with a sprained ankle.

    Rocky Mount Academy will play Elizabeth City Northeastern at 11:00 tomorrow. Osbourne will play Lawrence Academy at 4:30 tomorrow in the semifinals. Lawrence deeated Northeastern 2-1.

    West Forsyth beat Mt. Tabor 9-1 last night. Tyler Coyle got the win (3-1). He had 9 strikeouts and gave up 5 hits. Leading hitters for the Titans: Adam Griffin 2-4 (freshman would have had 3 hits but one hit a runner) Jonathan Holt 2-3 (2doubles, 2rbi) Tyler Alberts (1-3, 2 rbi) David Morgan (1-2) The Titans move to 8-2 on the season. Mt Tabor drops to 3-6

    Not sure who had RMA's hit. However the upset of the day was Hobgood Academy knocking of SW Edgecombe 5-3. Just got the call from Aubrey.

    WOW!

    Even though I am extremely proud of TC, I sure missed the boat on Tabor. Great bunch of kids and players.. West is taking charge.. riding those Heat lefties!!!
